Description W&F Locks
W&F combination, coin and RFID locks
The W&F Locks range is compact and clearly structured. The 1401 is a mechanical four-digit combination lock with a service cylinder for emergency opening and code recovery. The 1606 is a compact coin-return lock that fits a standard door cut-out. Electronic options include the PIN-operated 1904 and RFID-operated 1905. The 2112 One-Timer is intended for applications using a single-use or temporarily valid code. This allows a focused choice for each site without immediately installing an extensive online management system.
Assigned or shared locker use
Several W&F models can be configured for an assigned user or shared use. With assigned allocation, the user keeps the same code or RFID credential for the same locker. In shared mode, a user chooses an available locker, which becomes available again after opening. Depending on the model, a manager retains access through a service cylinder, master function or authorised tool. This makes W&F suitable for schools, businesses, sports venues, changing rooms and public facilities.
Straightforward maintenance and retrofitting
W&F places considerable emphasis on simple installation and servicing. Several models use the common 16 x 19 mm cut-out, often making them suitable replacements for existing mechanical locks. The battery in the 1904 PIN lock can be replaced from the front without removing the lock. Technical checks remain essential: opening direction, door thickness, cam, door material and emergency opening requirements determine whether a model actually fits. LockerSpecialist checks these points and can arrange installation and configuration if required.

Frequently asked questions about W&F Locks
The main models are the 1401 mechanical combination lock, 1606 coin-return lock, 1904 electronic PIN lock, 1905 RFID lock and 2112 One-Timer combination lock.
The 1401 is a mechanical combination lock with four number wheels and a user-set code. A service cylinder allows a manager to open it in an emergency and recover the code.
The 1401 is fully mechanical and requires no battery. The 1904 is an electronic PIN lock with additional configurable functions and operating modes. It uses one AA battery and has a service cylinder for emergency opening and maintenance.
The 1904 is designed for a common 16 x 19 mm cut-out and is therefore often suitable for retrofitting. The door, opening direction, cam and available space must still be checked beforehand.
No. The 1905 is a closed RFID system based on MIFARE Ultralight and works with the corresponding initialised transponders. Compatibility with an existing staff or school card must therefore be verified in advance.
The lock gives a low-battery warning in advance. The service key allows the control panel and battery to be removed from the front. According to the manufacturer, codes and settings are retained when the battery is replaced.
