What is a smart locker system?
A smart locker system combines electronic locks with central software. Access rights, locker allocation and availability can be managed digitally, while the lock hardware is integrated into the locker design.
Smart electronic locks provide centrally managed, keyless access to lockers. Users can open a locker with an app, smartphone, RFID credential or other authorised method. Systems such as Nextlox, LoQit and Vecos connect to an online management platform and can integrate neatly into modern office and educational environments.

A clear online dashboard shows which lockers are in use and who has access. Administrators can assign, reset or release lockers and import users or connect existing access-control and staff systems. This keeps even large installations efficient and manageable.
Smart locks are ideal for flexible workplaces, hybrid offices, sports clubs and education. They simplify shared use, reduce administration and can integrate with existing access-control, HR or reservation systems.

Updates are usually centrally rolled out via the server or cloud platform. Updates normally cause minimal disruption for users.
Yes, temporary access rights can be easily created. This can be done for one visitor, a group, or automatically through integration with a visitor-management system.
Wired smart locker systems are often connected to a UPS or emergency power supply, so they continue operating during short interruptions. For a prolonged outage, authorised staff can follow an emergency procedure to provide access.
