Coin-operated locks

A coin-operated lock is a practical mechanical solution for lockers in busy public environments. With a coin-return mechanism, the user inserts a coin or token to secure the locker and receives it back upon opening. A coin-retaining version can also be used when a small usage fee is required.

Frequently asked questions about coin-operated locks

Yes. Coin-operated locks are designed for busy environments, have relatively few moving parts and provide a long service life with limited maintenance.

Many models resist moisture and temperature changes. For pools, wellness facilities or outdoor areas, we recommend a corrosion-resistant model suited to the environment.

Yes. Tokens are often used to prevent abuse or to allow uniform management where visitors may carry different currencies.

The coin slot is calibrated for the required diameter. Coins or objects that do not match the specified diameter are usually not accepted. In addition, clear instructions and the use of tokens can further reduce problems.

With a return system, the user gets the coin back when he opens the locker. In the case of a coin-retaining system, the coin falls into an internal cash box, so the user pays a small fee for use.

Administrators have a separate key or access system that allows them to open the coin-retaining mechanism. This can be done daily, weekly or as desired.

A coin-operated lock provides sufficient basic safety for areas with short-term use, such as swimming pools or recreational parks. For valuable items or long-term storage we recommend a lock with higher security class.

You always receive an invoice in advance for the deposit. Once the products are delivered or assembled, you will receive the final invoice. For larger projects we work with partial payments.

You can pay by bank transfer. For business customers we do not work with online payment methods such as iDEAL because we deliver custom projects without a webshop.

Payment on account is possible for permanent business customers or when this has been agreed in advance. New clients usually pay a deposit.
