Smart lockers for employees Van der Valk Hotel Woerden
For the new Van der Valk Hotel Woerden, LockerSpecialist delivered a complete Smart Locker project with a total of 90 lockers. The solution consists of 20 steel wardrobe lockers for permanent employees, 60 five-compartment lockers for flexible employees and 10 issue lockers with transparent doors for workwear. All lockers are in RAL 7016 anthracite and placed in the hallway in the basement of the hotel.
The client’s wish was a future-proof system that is easy to manage and flexible enough to adapt to staffing changes. Permanent employees have their own assigned locker. Flexible employees are automatically assigned an available locker. Thanks to the transparent doors of the issue lockers, staff can immediately see which garments are available.
Digital locker management with LoQit
The lockers are equipped with smart LoQit locks and can be opened with a staff pass or personal PIN. The system is linked to the staff database at Van der Valk, which allows employees to be added, modified or removed centrally. The online management reduces manual key management and makes it easy to reassign lockers.
A special part of the project was the angle between the two locker sets. A custom-made furniture unit was used for this purpose, designed by De Graaf Interiors. The LoQit terminal is integrated into this furniture, making the two locker walls visually and practically connected.
Fully managed and installed within one day
LockerSpecialist managed the entire project, from advice and design to production, delivery, configuration and installation. LoQit provided the smart locks and the technology for digital management. The complete locker installation was installed in June 2026 within one day and delivered ready for use.
With this solution, Van der Valk Hotel Woerden has a modern, safe and flexible locker system that supports day-to-day operations and can easily grow with the organisation.
